Product Photography
We provide real installed photos of resort decks, pool surrounds, and villa terraces in bright sun and after rain, plus close-ups of the groove pattern and surface texture. Seeing how a board looks when wet, and how it handles strong light, is more useful for this climate than a studio image.
A note on termites: composite boards are not a food source like solid timber, but termites can still tunnel through a wooden substructure, so we recommend treated or non-wood framing, or composite and aluminum joists, in termite-prone regions.
We can also share recommended joist spacing and ventilation gaps for thick boards in hot, humid conditions, since a well-ventilated frame helps water drain and dry quickly after heavy rain, which supports the long-term appearance of the deck.
We can also share our recommended fixing spacing for thick boards on a ventilated frame, and suggest a suitable gap width for the local climate, since boards expand more in strong heat than in mild weather.
Minimum Order Quantity & Pricing Structure
Pricing follows the underlying capped composite profile, with adjustments for solid core, thicker boards, and custom color. MOQ for a first trial order is typically 1 x 20ft container. Resort projects are often large and phased, and we can plan multi-container supply matched to construction stages.
| Order Volume | Pricing Tier |
| Sample boards | Sample fee + courier, often credited toward the first order |
| 1 x 20ft container | Standard FOB pricing |
| 1 x 40ft HQ container | Discounted per-sqm pricing |
| Resort and hotel group volumes | Negotiated pricing with phased delivery across construction stages |
Quotations are typically given as FOB Ningbo or Shanghai, with CIF and DDP available once the destination and Incoterm are confirmed. Standard payment terms are 30% deposit by T/T with the balance against the B/L copy. Many tropical destinations are on islands or in remote areas, so we recommend discussing the final delivery route early, since inland and island freight can add significant cost beyond the port.
When comparing against teak or ipe, please include long-term costs such as re-oiling, replacement, and labor, as composite typically shows its advantage over the life of a resort rather than on the initial price alone.
Please tell us whether you need the price for boards only or for boards plus clips, edge trim, and stair pieces, so that the quotation shows the full cost of a finished resort deck rather than only the boards.
If your resort orders in phases, we can hold the agreed pricing for a defined period, so later phases are not exposed to sudden changes, and we will tell you in advance how long we can realistically hold a given price.
OEM & Customization Options
Resort developers usually work from a design brief and a mood board, so customization focuses on matching a specific tone, board width, and surface for the property's character.
- Color matching - match a teak or ipe reference, or a resort brand palette, with attention to UV stability of the chosen pigments
- Board width and thickness - broad boards and thicker solid profiles for a more generous, high-end look
- Surface texture - grooved, fine grain, or textured capped faces chosen to balance comfort underfoot and slip resistance
- Matching accessories - stair nosing, edge boards, and fascia in the same color, so that pool edges, steps, and platforms look consistent
- Branding - private label packaging for distributors serving resort and hospitality contractors
For hotel groups building several properties to a shared design language, we can hold an approved color, profile, and surface specification on file, so each new resort orders against the same reference. Small mock-up decks or sample sets can be sent ahead of the main order, allowing the design team to approve color and texture in real tropical light.
We can also produce a small mock-up deck section in your chosen color and texture, so that the design team and the resort owner can approve the look under real sunlight before a full production run is released.
For resorts that want a signature look across villas, spa, and restaurant areas, we can suggest two or three coordinated tones from one family, so that different zones feel distinct yet related, and we can pack each tone separately and labeled by area to simplify site logistics.
Certification & Quality Control
Tropical projects put material through harsh conditions, so buyers typically ask for documents on UV stability, moisture behavior, and slip resistance, in addition to standard environmental compliance.
| Certification / Test | Availability |
| UV/weathering test reports | Available (SGS/BV/Intertek) |
| Wet slip resistance test reports | Available for grooved and textured profiles |
| Water absorption reports | Available per profile |
| REACH / RoHS compliance | Standard formulation compliant |
| Factory quality system | ISO 9001 factory management system |
Our QC process checks color against an approved reference and measures board dimensions and straightness. For capped profiles, we check cap coverage and adhesion, since a sound cap layer is central to long-term performance in intense sun and constant humidity. We can arrange a third-party pre-shipment inspection for larger resort orders.
If your project must meet a particular local standard for wet-area slip resistance or for wind exposure, please tell us early, so we can confirm which documents are available and which would need a new test.
Batch records let us trace any shipped order to its production run, which is useful if a resort later needs matching boards for an extension or a repair, and we can keep an approved reference sample at our factory for comparison.
For buyers who want independent confirmation, we can arrange a third-party inspection at the factory before shipment, covering dimensions, cap coverage, and surface finish, and share the report with you. If a board from the delivered order later shows a problem, please send photos and the carton label, and we will check it against our production records and resolve verified defects promptly, without asking you to prove more than is reasonable.
Production Capacity & Lead Time
Tropical resort decking is produced on our capped composite lines, with lead time depending on whether an existing warm tone is chosen or a custom color is developed.
| Item | Detail |
| Monthly capacity | Follows our capped composite line capacity |
| Sample lead time | 5-8 working days for existing colors and profiles |
| Standard order lead time | 22-32 days after deposit and specification confirmation |
| Custom color or thick profile lead time | Additional 25-35 days for development or new tooling |
| Season note | Resort construction often runs in the dry season, so orders should be confirmed well before it starts to allow for production, sea freight, and island transfer |
We provide production progress updates and can share photos of finished boards before packing. Resort openings are often fixed and publicly announced, so please share your target opening and installation dates when you request a quotation, and we will work back from them.
For large resorts built in phases, we can split production and shipment across several stages, and confirm a written shipping calendar once your production slot is booked.
If construction sequences change on site, please tell us as early as possible, since we can often adjust shipping dates before the next production run is scheduled, and it is much harder to make changes once boards are already packed.
Because island and remote deliveries add uncertainty, we suggest building a buffer of a few weeks between the expected arrival date and the date installation must start. We will confirm a shipping calendar in writing, and tell you promptly if anything changes, so that your site team can plan labor and equipment with confidence.
Logistics & After-Sales Support
Tropical and island destinations often involve long, multi-stage delivery routes, so we plan documents and packing to protect boards over long transit in hot, humid conditions.
- Shipping ports - orders typically go out via Ningbo or Shanghai port; FOB, CIF, or DDP quoting available
- Packing for heat and humidity - strapped pallets, moisture-resistant wrapping, and corner protectors for long sea transit
- Documentation - commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, and relevant test reports provided as standard
- Damage/shortage claims - please photograph any damage at unloading; verified defects are resolved through replacement stock or credit on the next order
- Installation guidance - manuals covering ventilated substructure, expansion gaps in high heat, drainage, and corrosion-resistant fasteners
For island resorts that need a barge or small-boat transfer, please tell us the handling limits in advance, so that we can suggest bundle sizes and weights that suit the transfer method. We can also recommend a modest extra allowance for on-site cutting waste, since a top-up shipment to a remote island can take a long time.
Our team stays reachable by phone or WhatsApp through shipping and unloading, and can help your forwarder or site manager with documents if a port or island authority requests additional information.
Please also tell us whether your site has a covered storage area, since boards should be stored flat and supported, and kept out of long direct sun while still wrapped, which helps them stay straight until installation. If any pallet arrives damaged, take photos before unpacking and send them with the carton labels, so that we can arrange a replacement for verified cases quickly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will the boards get too hot for bare feet in strong sun?
A: Any deck surface gets warm in direct sun, but lighter and warmer mid-tones stay noticeably cooler than very dark colors. We can suggest tones for poolside use and share sample boards to test in your own conditions.
Q: How does composite compare with teak or ipe in a resort?
A: Composite avoids regular oiling, splitting, and replacement, and gives a consistent look. Teak and ipe have a natural character some clients prefer, so we recommend viewing samples side by side.
Q: What about salt air near the beach?
A: The boards themselves handle salt air well, but fasteners and framing may corrode, so we recommend stainless or coated fasteners, and non-corroding or treated framing near the coast.
Q: Are the boards suitable for typhoon and monsoon regions?
A: Boards handle heavy rain well when the deck is ventilated and drained properly. For wind uplift, the fixing and framing design matter most, and your engineer should confirm the system for local conditions.
Q: Can you supply matching steps and edges for pool areas?
A: Yes, matching stair nosing, edge boards, and fascia can be supplied in the same color and surface, so that pool edges and steps look consistent.
Q: How long does the color stay stable in strong tropical sun?
A: Colors may soften slightly in the first months and then stabilize. Capped profiles with UV-stable pigments perform best, and we can share weathering test data and installed examples.
